Discount Computer Supplies Ltd was founded fifteen years ago in February 1992.
After building a substantial reputation for quality and service within the industry, DCS was invited to tender for an outlet on the campus of Birmingham University. The aim being, to meet the supply/repair/support needs of the students and University departments.
In September 1995, DCS was granted the tender and quickly established an excellent working relationship with many of the departments within the University. Many of the University networks are supported by DCS and we have become the preferred supplier on campus

Network Support
Network installation is the second core component of our business.
At DCS Ltd, we are staffed with fully qualified network installation engineers and technicians.
We will not only build and test the PCs, but we will also deliver and set them up on site, as well as installing all relevant cabling where necessary.
Wireless networks are beginning to supersede the traditional wired ones in terms of popularity. Our technicians are proficient in installing either, and will be able to discuss your individual needs with you.
Often our engineers are involved at the planning stage enabling us to provide advice and feedback to the customer with regards to layout and design.
PC Manufacturing
PC manufacturing is an integral part of the success of our company.
Well built, reliable and economically priced machines are an essential requirement of many businesses, and DCS has a range of machines matching these criteria. The choice of components with long manufacturer's warranties means that our machines have reliability 'built in' as standard.
The use of industry standard components gives us full compatibility with the latest technologies, as well as allowing the machines to be easily upgraded in the future.
Equal attention is paid to the efficiency of the machine as well as using components designed to greatly reduce its noise emissions.
The greatest flexibility is achieved by manufacturing our own computers, since we can respond precisely to our customers' exact design requirements. Customers may have an almost infinite range of machines within their network, either standard 'off the peg' specs, or custom-built to match their requirements.
Most of our customers prefer this 'flexible' approach to their PC, rather than purchasing a fixed 'off the shelf' design, and understanding what our customers expect allows us to stay one step ahead of our competitors

DCS has spent most of its existence supplying the Education and Public sector.
As a result of this we believe that we have an enviable expertise in being able to provide you with the best advice and pricing you could need.
