Serial ATA (SATA) is the latest generation of the ATA interface, and an optimal solution for RAID. SATA hard drives deliver blistering transfer speeds of up to 150MB/sec. Serial ATA uses long, thin cables, making it easier for you to connect your drives and improving the airflow inside your PC. Also, Serial ATA uses a point-to-point configuration topology, eliminating master/slave bus sharing and improving multi-drive system throughput.

If you want to move into the world of SATA, with the FastTrak S150 TX4 you can attach up to four Serial ATA drives to create ultra-fast RAID arrays.
