This CPU heatpipe cooler is designed only for the Classic chassis. The heatsink block is made from pure copper for maximum heat conductivity. Attached to the top of the heatsink are the blocks that lock the heatpipes in place. These heatpipes can transfer up to 120W of heat away from the CPU onto the side of the case where it is naturally cooled. The cooler is compatible with virtually all socket types. Intel's socket LGA775, 478, 479 and AMD's socket AM2, 939, 754 and 462 (A) are all supported. The location of the CPU socket is not a major concern because the heatpipes can be bent to adjust to the location of the CPU socket, which provide maximum compatibility. The difference between the Mini and the Classic HPC coolers is that the Classic version is supplied with longer heatpipes. PLEASE NOTE: This product is highly recommended if you intend to purchase the Classic case.
